Week 4 in a 6 week BEGINNERS course in Ki Aikido.
Class Description: Week 4 will focus on the concept of “Relax Completely”. In the Ki Training portion, we will learn techniques for developing a relaxed mind and body that is strong without being tense. We will learn how to apply this to our Ki Health Exercises and Ki Tests. We will also learn Ki Breathing techniques and how to apply the concept of “Relaxing Completely” to breathing to develop a controlled, strong mind & body. During the Aikido class, we will learn how to Apply the concept of “Relax Completely” to Aikido arts. Kumi Waza arts 4 & 7 will be the focus.
General Course Description: We will cover the basics of training in the martial art of Aikido with the Oregon Ki Society.
Topics will include:
Ki Breathing techniques
Overview of training at Oregon Ki Society Dojos
(including history, etiquette, exercises, self defense, weapons training and more). Students who complete the Beginner course will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of what it is like to train at Oregon Ki Society dojos. AGES: 18+ DAY: Monday TIME: 7pm-9pm. Show up 15 minutes early to change or come dressed already. Class begins promptly at 7pm.

COURSE FEE: $99 for 6 weeks. Please make checks out to The Oregon Ki Society, with “West Linn Dojo Intro” in the memo. Wear loose fitting clothes (sweat pants and a t-shirt). If you missed the start of this 6 week course but would still like to attend, we pro-rate based on when you begin the course.
